CS 235AM - Intermediate Mobile Application Development: Android

This course introduces students to applying object oriented programming to mobile application development and the Android System Development Kit. Cross-platform mobile app development will be done using the Mono framework and the MonoDevelop IDE. May be offered online.

Prerequisite: CS 162N  or CS 162P   or CS 162C  
Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course the student should be able to:
1. Design the core logic for a mobile software application that will run on Android.
2. Write, debug, and test the code for the core logic for an application that will run on Android.
3. Design User Interfaces for two platforms on Android.
4. Integrate the UIs with the core logic on two platforms on Android.
5. Evaluate mobile app designs and architectures in terms of user experience, performance, and maintainability.
