CA 175 - Foodservice Sanitation and Safety

Open to the Public. This course presents the basics of food service sanitation. The text examines a systematic approach to sanitation management by the use of control points and effective use of multiple resources. The NRAEF ServSafe Certificate will be issued upon successful completion of the NRAEF Exam. 

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. Describe food contaminants and use correct techniques and procedures to prevent food contamination
2. Properly and effectively store and process raw and cooked food products
3. Identify appropriate equipment cleaning and sanitation procedures
4. Define and describe the importance of proper personal hygiene principles
5. Cite local, state, and national health and food safety standards and employ HAACP principles.
6. Effectively collaborate in integrated pest management
